Quick Start Guide
From AuctionBlox
Select An AuctionBlox Plan
- Go to our AuctionBlox Pricing page and select the plan that best suits your needs
- Plans are upgradeable as your business needs change
- Please ensure you have read the Client Agreement
- Click the appropriate 'Sign Up!' button
NOTE: A Trial account is good for a maximum of 25 eBay Sales, after which your account will be upgraded to a Standard account. You will be notified of the change and given a chance to upgrade your account to one that might better fit your needs.
Create Your Shop
- Enter a name to identify your shop (i.e. Dexter's Lab Supplies, Shop 1, etc)
- Enter the URL for your shop
- Read the Client Agreement and check the box when done
- Click the 'Create My Shop!' button when complete
Create Your AuctionBlox Account
- Enter your Email Address
- This email address will be used to sign into your account and it is where invoices and other important information will be sent
- Enter a Username
- This is the name that will be displayed in public areas of our site, such as the forums. It does not need to be your eBay ID
- Enter your Name and Telephone Number
- Enter your desired Password
- This is the password that will be used to log into AuctionBlox Central
- Select your Time Zone
- Click 'Register' button when complete
Enter Your Billing Information
In order to reduce fraud we require a valid credit card on file for every account, including Trial accounts.
- Enter the Name, Card Number, Expiration Date and Billing Address
- Click the 'Confirm to setup your shop' button when complete
Set Up Your Shop
When you have completed the billing section you will be logged into your account at AuctionBlox Central.
Otherwise log into your account:
- Log into your account on AuctionBlox Central at http://members.auctionblox.com/central/
- Click on 'My Account' in the Upper Right
- Click on 'Online Shop' under the Marketplaces section on the Left
- On the Right side will be a list of the shops associated with your AuctionBlox account
- Click 'Manage Shop' link to the right of the shop you wish to set up
- Verify the Checkout URL
- This is the location of the auctionblox.php file, some stores may need to add /catalog to the URL.
- This is the page that your customers will see when they check out, so ensure that it displays properly.
- Default is https:// if you do not have SSL you may need to change this to http://
- Verify the Upload URL
- This is the location of the abxn.php file, some stores may need to add /catalog to the URL.
- Ensure that the page loads properly, it should look like this
- This page is how our server communicates with your store. If the page does not load properly then your store will not be updated with your eBay sale information
- Write down or change the Authorization Code/Passcode
- This is used in the AuctionBlox section of your shop admin area. It is not the password for your AuctionBlox/AuctionBlox Central account
Add A New eBay User Account
By creating an eBay authorization token, AuctionBlox will be able to obtain your eBay sale information from eBay. This token is necessary in order for AuctionBlox to be able to perform eBay functions on your behalf.
- Log into your account on AuctionBlox Central at http://members.auctionblox.com/central/
- Click on 'My Account' in the Upper Right
- Click on 'eBay' under the Marketplaces section on the Left
- On the Right side will be a list of the eBay Seller Accounts associated with your AuctionBlox account
- Click 'Create New eBay Token'
- You will be redirected to eBay where you need to log into eBay with your eBay username and password.
- Press the 'I Agree' button to confirm that you wish to create your eBay Token
Update An Existing Token
- Log into your account on AuctionBlox Central at http://members.auctionblox.com/central/
- Click on 'My Account' in the Upper Right
- Click on 'eBay' under the Marketplaces section on the Left
- On the Right side will be a list of the eBay Seller Accounts associated with your AuctionBlox account
- Click 'Update eBay Token'
- You will be redirected to eBay where you need to log into eBay with your eBay username and password.
- Press the 'I Agree' button to confirm that you wish to renew your eBay Token
Associate eBay Seller Account With Online Shop
- Log into your account on AuctionBlox Central at http://members.auctionblox.com/central/
- Click on 'My Account' in the Upper Right
- Click on 'Online Shop' under the Marketplaces section on the Left
- On the Right side will be a list of the shops associated with your AuctionBlox account
- Click on 'Manage Shop' for the shop that you'd like to associate the eBay Seller Account with
- At the bottom of the page you'll see a list of eBay Seller Accounts associated with your shop. Below that is a list of other eBay Seller Accounts associated with your AuctionBlox account, but not for that particular shop.
- Click the 'Associate With <store>' button next to the eBay Seller Account you with to associate with this shop
Set Email Settings
- Log into your account on AuctionBlox Central at http://members.auctionblox.com/central/
- Click on 'My Account' in the Upper Right
- Click on 'Online Shop' under the Marketplaces section on the Left
- On the Right side will be a list of the shops associated with your AuctionBlox account
- Click on 'Manage Shop' for the shop that you'd like to set the Email Settings for
- Click the 'Email Settings' on the left side of the screen
From Address : The address that will be displayed in the From field of the email that the buyer receives.
BCC Address : The address (or addresses) that will receive a blind copy of the emails (the buyer will not see any of the BCC addresses).
Yes, send each winning bidder an invoice email (notification) : Check this box if you want the buyers to receive an invoice email. Recommended for those without Checkout Redirect.
Email Format : Determines if the emails are sent in Plain Text or HTML format. This makes a difference how your templates will be formatted when creating them.
Create Email Template
Email Templates are used to define the information that is sent to your buyers at the different stages of the transaction. Macros can be used to customize the emails for your store, the eBay selling ID, and the transaction itself.
- Log into your account on AuctionBlox Central at http://members.auctionblox.com/central/
- Click on 'My Account' in the Upper Right
- Click on 'Online Shop' under the Marketplaces section on the Left
- On the Right side will be a list of the shops associated with your AuctionBlox account
- Click on 'Manage Shop' for the shop that you'd like to create the Email Template for
- Choose which template you wish to create (Invoice/Reminder/Warning) and click the corresponding 'Template' link on the left side of the screen
- Write the Subject and Body of the Email Template
- Emails are sent as plain text or HTML depending on your Email Settings
- Click the 'Macros' link for a list of Macros that can be included in the template i.e. {TITLE}, {BUYER_ID}, etc
- Click the 'Update' button when complete

If your account does not have Checkout Redirect activated you want to direct your buyers to complete the checkout through your website using the {CHECKOUT_URL} macro.

Set Feedback Settings
- Log into your account on AuctionBlox Central at http://members.auctionblox.com/central/
- Click on 'My Account' in the Upper Right
- Click on 'Online Shop' under the Marketplaces section on the Left
- On the Right side will be a list of the shops associated with your AuctionBlox account
- Click on 'Manage Shop' for the shop that you'd like to set the Feedback Settings for
- Click the 'Feedback Settings' on the left side of the screen
Do not automatically leave positive feedback for buyer : Select this option if you wish to manually leave feedback for your buyers.
- It can be done in bulk using AuctionBlox, but you select the individual buyers to leave feedback for.
Leave positive feedback if positive feedback has been left for seller : By selecting this option you will always leave positive feedback for a buyer as soon as they leave positive feedback for you.
- Feedback is left even if the item has not been paid for.
Leave positive feedback if positive feedback has been left for seller -and- order has been marked paid : With this option you will leave positive feedback only if the buyer has left you positive feedback 'AND' AND the item has been marked as Paid on eBay.
- AuctionBlox can be configured to mark items as Paid automatically when you set them to an Order Status of your choice in your online store.
- Select the option you wish to use
- Click the 'Update' button when complete
Create Feedback Template
Feedback Templates are used to leave feedback for your buyers. You can set AuctionBlox leave feedback automatically based on several conditions, or you can choose to leave feedback manually.
- Log into your account on AuctionBlox Central at http://members.auctionblox.com/central/
- Click on 'My Account' in the Upper Right
- Click on 'Online Shop' under the Marketplaces section on the Left
- On the Right side will be a list of the shops associated with your AuctionBlox account
- Click on 'Manage Shop' for the shop that you'd like to create the Feedback Template for
- Choose which template you wish to create (Positive/Neutral/Negative) and click the corresponding 'Template' link on the left side of the screen
- Enter as many different feedback that you wish to use in the lines provided.
- Click the 'Update' button when complete
- There is no limit to the number different feedback you can have of each type
- Feedback is chosen randomly from the available feedback
Set General Settings
- From your AuctionBlox menu select Configuration then General
- Enter you AuctionBlox.com User ID and Pass code (NOT eBay ID and Password)
- Set your Time Zone
- Click the to the right of the item to edit it
Verify Your eBay ID(s) In AuctionBlox
- From your AuctionBlox menu select Configuration then Account
- Verify that all the eBay IDs are listed
- If an ID is missing click the ‘Reload Configuration Settings’ button
Create A Listing Template
- From your AuctionBlox menu select Templates then New Template
- Enter a Label for this template
- Enter any appropriate information into the fields
- Select eBay User ID and Profile ID
- Select any Listing Upgrades
- Click the ‘Save’ button when complete
- Use the Macro icon to insert database fields i.e. {PRODUCTS_TITLE}, {SHIPPING}, etc
- Use the HTML icon to switch to an HTML editor
- ‘Starting Price’ is used for all listing types (NOT Buy It Now Price)
Generate A Listing
- From your AuctionBlox menu select Items then Generator
- (Optional) Enter text into Search box and select appropriate field in dropdown to narrow list of items
- Check item(s) to list
- Select a Template from dropdown box
- Click ‘Generate Listing’ button
- Review/Change/Add information in the Item Generator screen
- Click ‘Confirm’ to create listing(s)
- Use the Macro icon to insert database fields i.e. {PRODUCTS_TITLE}, {SHIPPING}, etc
- Multiple items can be listed with the Generator. If a Macro is not used for the title the items will be created all with the same title.
- ‘Starting Price’ is used for all listing types (NOT Buy It Now Price)
Listing An Item
- From your AuctionBlox menu select Items then Saved Items
- Put a check in the box next to the item(s) you wish to list
- Click the launch icon
- To launch immediately select ‘Launch Now’, otherwise select ‘Launch Later’ and select the date and local time you want them to launch. (No additional fees are accrued for scheduled launches)
- To launch the item(s) once select ‘Launch Once’, otherwise select ‘Launch Recurring’ and select how many times you want it to occur and under which circumstances
- Click the ‘Upload’ button to send the item(s) to AuctionBlox to launch to eBay
- Scheduled items will not appear on eBay until their scheduled time, but they are viewable in Listings then Pending
Fixed Shipping
The fixed shipping module is perfect for merchants who wish to offer a flat rate domestic or global shipping on a per item basis. Shipping rates can be applied to individual products, or your entire database at one time.
- From you AuctionBlox menu select Utilities then Fixed Shipping Table
- Select one or multiple items to configure and click Edit
- You will be presented with the following:
- Domestic Shipping Cost – Shipping cost for the first of the item to ship
- Domestic Additional Shipping Cost – Cost for each additional of the item to ship
- Global Shipping Cost – Global shipping cost for the first of the item to ship
- Global Additional Shipping Cost – Cost for each additional of the item to ship
- Enable Fixed Shipping – Click Yes if you wish to enable Fixed Shipping for this item
- Enter shipping costs
- Click the 'Confirm' button when complete
Create a Listing Template
Your next step is to create a listing template.
Select Items Template:English:products.gif from the menu. Select New Item. Complete the listing template with the standard fields as needed Save as a template.
To create a listing use the Generator menu option - which will be based on the template you select from the drop down list.

Generate a listing
Your next step is to generate a listing.
Select Items Template:English:products.gif and then Generator from the menu.
You will be presented with a list of products that are currently listed in your store.

To launch those products - either singularly or in bulk, select the template you wish to use from the drop down list at the top.
Then tick the checkboxes next to each product you wish to list.
Click on the blue button **Generate Listing**.
You will be presented with a form that you can modify or launch as is. The fields in this form will be based on the information in the template you specified.
Click on Confirm to **Generate the Listing**
Then go to **Saved Items to Launch your Listing**
