VAT/GST Setup
Make sure that the osCommerce cart is set up properly
- Shipping modules need to be set to use the GST Tax Class (ie. 10%)
- Payment modules need to be set to use the GST Tax Class
NOTE: If you use a flat shipping module, then your shipping prices have to be exclusive of GST.
AuctionBlox configuration
- Install the fixed shipping module
- Set to use the GST Tax Class
NOTE: Fixed shipping prices need to be configured excluding GST
Listing items
- Ensure all prices and shipping entered into the listing (including macros) do not include GST
- Check the "Add Tax to Prices" checkbox
- Enter the GST rate (e.g. 10%)
Verification
- After listing to eBay, the item's price should be GST-Inclusive
- Item's shipping prices will be GST-Inclusive if using the AuctionBlox fixed shipping module
- After a successful purchase on eBay, the sales screen will show end price and shipping as GST-Inclusive.
- During checkout GST will be added back into the item and shipping prices
VAT Setup
- Some sellers must obtain a VAT account from their local tax agency and charge EU sellers VAT. Those sellers should also have a VAT enabled account on eBay.
- If you have a VAT enabled eBay account you need to send in a support ticket so we can enable the VAT setting for your account on our server.
